How to Use ZetaClear – The Two Easy Steps

How to Use ZetaCear - The Two easy StepsI’ve had a couple of emails from people asking me how to use ZetaClear, so I decided to write this post explaining the process.  I also made a quick power-point video presentation, which you can view below.

ZetaClear’s two step treatment plan is very simple and convenient to use.  The treatment consists of a 50ml topical application called ZetaClear Clear Nail Solution and a 100ml oral spray, called ZetaClear Homeopathic Spray.

The topical formula should be brushed onto the nails twice daily.  Before doing this, wash the infected nails with warm soapy water, then dry them thoroughly.  I made a habit of Read the rest of this entry »

Best Treatment for Toenail Fungus That Worked for Me!

best treatment for toenail fungusThe best treatment for toenail fungus can be hard to find.   I tried several before finding something that worked for me, so as far as I’m concerned the one that finely did the trick is the only treatment for toenail fungus I would recommend to my friends if they asked.

Nail fungus is an embarrassing condition that takes a long time to cure, so finding an effective treatment right off the bat will shorten the time it takes to eliminate the fungus.  With so many products on the market, it can be hard to know which is the best treatment for toenail fungus.  After trying several topicals which didn’t do a thing and having a bad reaction to the tablets my doctor prescribed, I was determined to find something that would work for me.  It was either that or try laser treatment, which I couldn’t afford.

I spent a lot of time searching online, made up a short list based on positive reviews, and ended up with two front runners in my search for a treatment for toenail fungus that did what it claimed to do.  The thing that stood out for me about ZetaClear was that it Read the rest of this entry »

How to Prevent Nail Fungus

How To Prevent Nail FungusIf you’ve suffered from it in the past, you’ll no doubt be interested in learning about how to prevent nail fungus.  Nail fungus is quite a common condition, especially for those living in hot and humid climates.  While it is mostly affects the toenails, it can also occur in the fingernails.

One of the first tell tale signs is often a yellowing of the nails, though this, alone is not an indication that nail fungus is present.  My fingernails have turned yellow several times over the years as a result of wearing nail polish constantly.  When this has happened, going without polish for a while saw my nails quickly return to their normal colour.  With nail fungus, the color will not fade or grow out and it’s not unusual for the affected nails to turn black. Types of Nail Fungus

Types of Nail FungusThere are three main types of nail fungus infections: dermatophyte, yeast and mold.  Read on to find out about the various types of nail fungus and their causes.

Dermatophyte Infections

Dermatophyte, the most common of the nail fungal infections, is caused by microscopic fungi infecting the nail.  Dermatophyte’s main food source is keratin, which is abundant in toe and fingernails.  The structure of keratin is tough and insoluble, making it difficult for treatments to easily penetrate.  For this reason, the infection has to grow out for the nail to revert to its normal, healthy apearance.  Still, it is very important to get the infection under control as it will not go away by itself.  Using an effective nail fungus treatment such as ZetaClear will mean that the new nail growth will be healthy and infection free. Antifungal Nail Polish

Antifungal Nail PolishWhile it is possible in rare instances for nail fungus to pose a major medical risk in people with circulatory diseases, usually it is only a cosmetic problem.  Fingernails and toenails infected with fungus can look really ugly.  They may be yellow, white or even black.  They may split and lift from the nail bed or become thick and misshapen.  This is bad enough for guys but even worse for women, especially if they have an important social function coming up.  We all want to look our best at such times without having to worry about hiding our hands and concealing our toes when we’d rather be wearing strappy sandals. Laser Treatment For Nail Fungus – The ND-YAG Laser

ND-YAG LaserRecently there has been an increasing trend towards people having laser treatment for nail fungus.  While this treatment can be very effective, the cost is high and there is no guarantee it will work.  While the active treatment time is shorter than with other forms of nail fungal treatment such as oral medication and topicals, as with these it will take between six months to one year for the full effect of the laser treatment to be seen.  The reason for this is that fingernails and toenails grow relatively slowly and the infected and damaged nail will need to grow out before all signs of the fungus disappear.

Laser Treatment For Nail Fungus - Cost and Effectiveness

The effectiveness of laser treatment for nail fungus varies from person to person, with early studies estimating a cure for between 70 to 85% of those who undertake the treatment.  Cost varies from around $800 to $1,500 per treatment depending upon how many toenails or fingernails are treated and the number of treatments required.  For some people one treatment will be sufficient, while for others one or two follow up treatments will be necessary.  Laser treatment for nail fungus is classed as a cosmetic procedure therefore it is not currently included as a health insurance benefit.  As with all Read the rest of this entry »
